Raid Bosses

World

Raid Bosses are powerful Pals that can be summoned at a Summoning Altar. Being far stronger than other Bosses, Raid Bosses currently represent the game's ultimate challenge. Defeating them yields not only valuable rewards, but also Pal Eggs that will hatch into weaker but still quite powerful versions of themselves, making them highly sought after by players in the late-game.

Overview

In order to summon a Raid Boss, players must construct a Summoning Altar and acquire a slab. Slabs are items constructed from fragments found in Treasure Chests or obtained during Expeditions, which can be combined at most Handiwork-related crafting stations into a slab provided the player has enough fragments. Once the slab in question is obtained, players can then use it at the Summoning Altar to summon the boss.

When the desired slab is chosen at the Summoning Altar, players are then given the option to fight the Raid Boss in either their base or in the Raid Area, a dedicated arena for fighting Raid Bosses. It is generally recommended to pick the Raid Area as Raid Bosses are capable of causing mass damage to bases, though some players may choose to construct a dedicated arena for Raid Bosses. Players will be allowed to fight the boss with as many Pals as they can fit working on a base.

When the Raid Boss is summoned, players will have ten minutes to defeat it. If players fail to defeat the boss before the timer runs out, it will despawn and the raid will fail, though any damage to structures left behind by the Raid Boss will remain. If players manage to defeat the boss, it will drop its items such as Ancient Civilization Parts, Ancient Civilization Core, Training Crystal, or other valuable items. But most importantly, it will drop a Pal Eggs that will hatch into a regular or Alpha Pals version of itself that can be used by the player. However, it should be noted that the Moon Lord will not drop an egg.
